Ex-Footballer Who Had Retired To Take Up A New Job Killed By Train

Ex-professional footballer, Chris Mitchell has died aged 27 after being
hit by a train. The ex-Clyde, Falkirk and Queen of the South defender
died instantly as he was struck on Saturday afternoon near Cornton,
Stirling.

It came four months after he hung up his boots to take up a new job.
Mitchell’s former club Clyde confirmed the news after they clinched a
play-off final spot.

A minute’s silence will be held before Clyde’s match against Queen’s Park at Broadwood tomorrow night.
