A 61-year-old woman is making headlines after having a healthy baby.
The woman who was identified as Zhang of Zhejiang, China, gave birth to a healthy boy.
The woman had a healthy pregnancy and the baby was born at 39 weeks. The
baby was delivered via Cesarean section, and he weighed 6 pounds and
four ounces.
The mother wanted to have another baby after her 30-year-old daughter,
who was her only child, died of an illness, leaving her heartbroken.
After her 66-year-old husband agreed to have a baby, she underwent IVF and became pregnant.
Zhang said that when she went for her first appointment during the
pregnancy, the doctor and nurses thought she was there to support her
daughter or daughter-in-law.
They were surprised to learn that she was the one who is pregnant.
