A monk was left humiliated after police found homemade adult toys in his possession.
Phra Thongchai Krajangchai of Thailand, has been defrocked after a
police raid on his temple found drugs, weapons, condoms and what police
described as pleasuring equipment in his room.
More than a dozen officers participated in the raid on the well-known
temple in Bangkok, which has not been named, though an image of the monk
has been released.
The raid took place as the police had received tips that the monk was selling drugs.
During their search, police found eight grams of crystal meth,
prescription pills and a package of marijuana along with drug
paraphernalia.
Police said that they also found a large number of condoms, which the monk claimed belonged to his followers.
However, what people found most shocking were items that police described as homemade equipment to help with self sex acts.
Police said that they found tin cans that were modified to resemble female genitalia.
Thongchai, who had been in the temple for 18 years, was arrested and was defrocked.
