12-year-old twin sisters who are conjoined at the head rushed to hospital after one of them injured her neck at beach

Conjoined twins were rushed to a hospital after one of them injured her neck while playing in the water at a beach, according to police in Florida.

A spokesperson for the Brevard County Fire Rescue, said that the 12-year-old twins were found to be in pain after one of them injured her neck.

The incident unfolded on Sunday around 6:30 p.m., at the Playalinda Beach. Paramedics who arrived at the scene, found both girls conscious, but one of them had an injury to her neck.

The were flown by helicopter to the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando. The twin girls were tourists visiting from another state when of them suffered an injury to the section of the spine at the neck.

The ocean was calm at the time of the injury with waves topping out at two feet. Police have urged the public to respect the family’s privacy.
