Thieves break into home and throw 100 rotten apples at 90-year-old homeowner

A group of thieves broke into the home of a 90-year-old woman and attacked her with rotten apples that she picked from trees in her yard, according to police in Canada.

Winchester police said that the incident unfolded on Saturday around 7:00 p.m.

90-year-old Laura David, who has difficulty hearing, was sitting on a chair when she felt something hitting her. She turned around and saw rotten apples flying in her direction.

The thieves were hiding behind a wall so she couldn’t see them. David told police that the assault continued for an hour, with the suspects throwing around 100 apples at her.

David, who is 4 feet and 11 inches and weighs 110 pounds, was left soaking wet. David did not call the police, and instead, endured the attack until the suspects decided to leave.

On Wednesday, David’s niece learned about what happened and called the police. The rotten apples were splattered on the walls and floors, and covered the furniture of the home.

It is the second time that David was robbed over the past week.

Earlier in the week, someone broke into David’s clothing store.

The cash register was broken, and the money was stolen. The thieves also took her keys and wallet. So far, no arrests have been made.
