94-year-old drunk man rams car into home breaking bones of owner

An elderly man was arrested on a charge of drunk driving after allegedly driving drunk into the home of a couple, according to police in Pennsylvania.

Montoursville police said that they have arrested 94-year-old John T. Flannery, after being accused of ramming his car into the dining room of Leary Platt, breaking his ribs.

Flannery has been charged with drunken driving and reckless endangerment.

According to the police invitation, the incident unfolded around 2:00 p.m., when Flannery drove his car into the home of Leary and Sandra Platt located in the 300 block of Elm Street.

The couple was watching TV. Flannery had a blood alcohol content level of .141 percent.

Leary suffered a leg injury, a dislocated shoulder and four broken ribs. Luckily, Sandra was not injured. Flannery told police that he had been at the American Legion on Broad Street, where he had two liquor shots and two beers.

Leary and Sandra said that the incident caused $25,000 in damages in their home.
