Woman hit in the face and suffers cut near her eyes after catfish fell from the sky

A woman of Pennsylvania, suffered a cut and a swollen face after a catfish fell from the sky and hit her as she was walking to an exercise class.

Lisa Lobree of Philadelphia, said that she was walking in the Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park on Monday around 9:30 a.m., when she was hit the face by the 5-pound catfish.

Lobree fell to the ground, and screamed in pain. She suffered a cut to her face near her eyes and some swelling. Her friends believe that a bird accidentally dropped its lunch about 50 feet above Lobree.

The fish smelled really bad, Lobree and her friends said. Lobree went to a doctor, who gave her a tetanus shot, recommended ice and prescribed antibiotics.

“This is me after falling to the ground, screaming and showering for 30 minutes to get the smell off. It only caused a small cut and swollen face. A memory to last forever though,” Lisa Lobree wrote on Facebook.

“A five pound catfish fell fifty feet out of a sycamore, dropped by a clumsy bald eagle, and hit Lisa Lobree in the face,” Cameron Abrams, a witness at the scene wrote.
