A woman was arrested on a charge of credit card fraud after allegedly using a stolen credit card to post bail for her friend who was in jail for not paying a taxi, according to police in Florida.

Pinellas County police said that they have arrested 46-year-old Lakeisha Brisbane, also known as Lakeisha Best, after posting the bail of her friend, 21-year-old Shermaine Arnold.

Brisbane was charged with grand theft and credit card fraud. She was booked into the Pinellas County jail, and her bail was set at $10,000.

According to the police investigation, Brisbane used a Visa credit card stolen from an elderly man to post the $7,500 bail of Arnold.

Arnold was accused of running out from a yellow cab, leaving behind an unpaid fare of $62.21. Arnold spent a week in jail before Brisbane posted her bail.

Police do not know why Brisbane was allowed to use a stolen Visa credit card to post bail.
