An elderly woman of the United Kingdom, is angry after she was left to care for herself after being evicted from a hospital.

The woman who refused to give up her hospital bed for eleven months, was ordered to leave the premises by a judge of the High Court in London.

79-year-old Diane Price was admitted to the Lewes Victoria Hospital, after she suffered a broken leg in a car accident.

After two weeks in a private room, she was given a clean bill of health and she was discharged from the hospital.

However, Price refused to leave the hospital.

After being there for a while, staff members put her in an ambulance to take her home. However, Price was not discouraged. She returned to the hospital and she went back to her room with her belongings.

The Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust was forced to take the matter to court.

The Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust said that it “reluctantly had to pursue court action as an absolute last resort after exhausting every other avenue available.”

After a long legal battle, the Supreme Court ruled to evict the woman. She was also ordered to pay the hospital’s legal cost of
£8,000 ($9,800).

It has been reported that after Price left the Lewes Victoria Hospital, she called 999, saying that she cannot walk and that she needed help going to the bathroom.

Emergency workers who arrived at her home, reportedly transported her to another hospital.
