Mother who found 400 pairs of stolen women’s underwear in son’s room hands them over to police

Police officers were surprised when a mother walked into their station and handed them 400 pairs of women’s underwear, according to police in Japan.

Chuo police said that they have arrested the 26-year-old man, who was not identified, after being accused of stealing around 425 pairs of women’s underwear from a laundromat.

The man has been charged with theft.

According to the criminal complaint, a laundromat called police to report that someone was stealing women’s underwear from washing machines and dryers.

Police sent undercover officers to the laundromat and they parked their car in front of the business to catch the thief. When a suspicious looking man came out of the laundromat, he was stopped.

During a search, police found 25 pairs of women’s underwear.

The suspect admitted to stealing the underwear, saying that he likes women’s underwear. The following day, the mother of the suspect came to the police station and gave officers 400 pairs of women’s underwear.

She told officers that she found the underwear in her son’s room.
