Brian Halye and his wife Courtney

Children were horrified to wake up one morning and find their parents lying dead of a drug overdose, according to police in Ohio.

Centerville police said that Spirit Airlines Pilot Brian Halye, 36, and his wife Courtney, 34, did not wake up on Thursday morning.

The couple’s son and three daughters walked into the parents’ bedroom in the morning after they failed to wake up and send them off to school.

When they looked in their bed, the parents looked very pale and were cold to the touch. The coule’s son called police, and said that there were black lines on his father’s face.

The two were declared dead at the scene. A coroner said that the two appeared to have died of a heroin overdose. Halye worked as a pilot for Spirit Airlines for more than 9 years.

His last flight was on the Friday before his death.
