THE END OF PRIDE

High shoulder
Higher than shoulder pads
Living in the arrogance of pride
Riding on the highway of destruction.

In glorified emptiness
They roam around empty sepulcher
Seeking fulfillment of self
Through foist association with hopeful wishes.

Earnestly they crave recognition wherever they go
Feeling less of a human to bend a knee to authority
The cards of brutishness they sow
And yet they want a card of magnanimity accorded them.

The voice of the rich are in their belly’s
But the fools voice is heard in the city.

They live like everyday was theirs to keep
Forgetting that the race was not meant for only one person.

Today was yours to have it all
And tomorrow another to keep.

They smile with smug demeanor
Nothing about their personality appreciates.

Like the grass they exist only for a while
Pains rather than happiness abides in their homes.

They roam around in bemusement
Believing it to be direction.

They answer the questions that are not directed at them
All in their crave for recognition
Their lives are circled around the achievements of others
Always in competition with nothing.

Attention doesn’t seek after them but rather,
They chase after attention like helpless dogs
Creativity is the theme of their dictionary
Every liar is a creative being.

From one lie to another
It never comes to an end
They create a world of their own.

They are Impetuous about their personality and
Wear the false garments of perfection.
Unqualified are others to them.

Yet they are neither better than the unqualified.

Like it is for all men
Everything with a beginning has an ending
It wouldn’t kill to bend a knee.
