AN OPEN LETTER TO YEMI OSINBAJO

Dear pastor Yemi Osinbajo,

I am so elated to write to you at this point in time when the much touted one Nigeria dream is about to be completely smashed on the alter of mediocrity and debased political incorrectness. As my custom is, I won’t fail to ask, how do you do? I hope you are getting on well with life. It is heart breaking to see how a pastor like you has openly chosen to be a harbinger of lies instead of truth. My earnest prayer everyday is for God to arrest you just like he arrested Saul on his way to Damascus to persecute Christians.

In 2015, when Nigerians heard that you are a pastor of RCCG and also an accomplished legal luminary, millions of Nigerian Christians across the globe were relieved. The general opinion then was that you will bring your wealth of experience into the whole process of charting a new beginning for Nigeria. But the reverse became the case. I will not be  saying the truth if I should say that God himself isn’t heart broken to have a prodigal son like you on earth. You have become a false picture of what the church represent. As a forerunner of Christ, you choose to pitch tent with the enemies of God against the remnants of Christ in this part of West Africa. You prefer to stand by the corner and watch while millions of innocent Christians in Nigeria are persecuted and expelled from their ancestral homes by the marauding Fulani bandits. If you did not know, before 2015, your predecessor and his boss gallantly fought and decimated kidnappers and terrorists to a large extent before relinquishing power. But their success has been reduced to zero level.

God truly must be heart broken over the shame you have become. The path of lies and deceit which you have chosen to thread will only lead to an everlasting damnation. Remember, God is not mocked, whatsoever a man sows that is what he shall reap. As your mission is to cause pain and frustration to the body of Christ, peace shall continue to elude you until the day you will repent from your evil ways.

Sir, I was totally dismayed when I read how you told your Nigeria audience in New York City that some of the kidnap cases in Nigeria are not true. I quote,  “With respect to general kidnapping which we have seen in parts of the country, again, this is not entirely new. In fact, some of the kidnapping stories you read or listen to are simply not true anywhere, some are fuelled by politics”. After reading the above statement, I could not help but to ask, between you and the devil who is the master of falsehood? How could you manufacture and sell such a misleading lie to the general public with the sole intent to deceive and sway the attention of the masses from apparent truth? Your statement in America is a well calculated speech designed to launder the dying image of a clueless and toxic APC government which you are a part of.

The handwriting is boldly written on the wall. There is nothing like exaggeration in matters concerning the security situation in Nigeria. The porous state of security in the nation has kept everyone wondering if there is actually a commander in chief in Abuja. Nigerians can no longer travel with their mind at peace. Kidnapping and terrorism have become the most profitable business in the country. Beginning from South West, South East and South South, Fulani terror movement has been kidnapping, raping and killing innocent civilians, but you and your boss choose to look the other way while this unreasonable carnage persist.

There is no day that passes without Nigerians hearing gory stories of how Fulani bandits attacked and sacked an entire community. Moreover, there is also this tale of Fulani killer squad kidnapping and taking their victims into the thick forest. Many kidnap victims have recounted during interrogation that their captors were Fulani tribe. Despite the numerous testimonies implicating the Fulani killer gang for all these atrocious acts, nothing has been done to quench the escalating tension before it will turn into a full blown war. The lie you told in America about the security situation in Nigeria was too embarrassing. Nigeria has no security. The entire security architecture is in comatose. It is seriously gasping for air.

Nobody is exaggerating and playing any form of politics with the precarious security situation in the country. I put it to you that every tale of terrorism, kidnapping and banditry that is going on in Nigeria is real. It is time to eschew predatory lies and face the present reality. The lies that have become the road map of APC government can no longer be sustained. Any further attempt to continue in this trend will only delay the dooms day.

Sir, as a pastor in the vineyard of God, you have failed the body of Christ. Political power has made you to talk from both sides of your mouth. You are incoherent, bereft of moral sense and brimmed with unimaginable mendaciousness. You hardly look before you leap. All I see is a man who is functioning under the influence of unseen manipulators. A flicker, that is what you have become to the church.

The killing of the daughter of the leader of Afenifere, Reuben Fasoranti, has just exposed the lie you went to America to sell. On the 22 of June, you told your Nigerian audience in new York City that “kidnapping and killing in Nigeria is exaggerated”. But while on a condolence visit to the leader of Afenifere over the death of his 58 year old daughter who was murdered by the Fulani bandits, you said, “killing in Nigeria is getting out of hand”. What do we now believe? This is just to show you that lies no matter how energetic cannot run faster than the truth. There is an expiry date for every lie.

However, the present government which you are a stakeholder has performed more abysmally in the aspect of security. Nigerians are no longer safe. There is great fear in the land. People now sleep with one eye open. The simple truth is that the government of Buhari and Osinbajo has proven to be incompetent in proffering practical solutions to the problem of insecurity in the country.

Conclusively, sir, Nigeria is at war! The present government is an accomplice to the spiraling insecurity in the country. You lied in America. Every killing and kidnapping case in Nigeria is true. There are pictorial and video evidence potent enough to deconstruct the lie you told in America.

Accept my letter with utmost respect.
