Ibikunle Amosun turns marriage counsellor

Former Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun

If former Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, calls himself an authority in the marriage institution, it may not be disputed. After all, he has been married to his wife for 29 years.

Amosun, who was chairman of the wedding ceremony of Postmaster-General of Nigerian Postal Services  (NIPOST), Bisi Adegbuyi’s daughter, Adebola Adetayo, played the role of a marriage counsellor.

He described marriage as an institution where you would receive a certificate even before going for classes. He advised the couple to bring love into their home, always respect each other and never to bring a third party into their home.

Admitting that there will be challenges, he said he prayed they would not face challenges that would be bigger than them.

Amosun’s wife, Olufunsho, was also a guest at the wedding. Other dignitaries at the wedding reception held at Queens Park Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, included Senator Gbenga Ashafa, Hon. Kunle Akinlade, Mr Kayode Odukoya, Prince Oluranti Ademola, Sunday Abiodun Olukoya, Alhaji Tajudeen Animashaun, Dayo Adeneye, Mrs Lauretta Achudume, Hon. Mukaila Kazeem, Mr Tunde Agbabiaka, Mr Jimi Agbaje, Hon. Chief Sharafa Ishola and Prince Akeem Adeyemi.
