EFCC declares instagram celebrity, Hushpuppi, wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has declared instagram celebrity, Ramoni Igbalode,popularly known as Hushpuppi, over series of suspected cybercrimes.

The anti-graft commission announced this on its verified Twitter page on Thursday.

Hushpuppi was arrested on June 10 in United Arab Emirates in connection with $35million ventilator scam.

EFCC tweeted: “Nigerian most wanted hacker “Ramoni Igbalode alias Hushpuppy recently investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the International Police has considerable cybercrimes being investigated by the EFCC.

“The commission is familiar with grisly details of money laundering cyber transactions involving many high profile cyber criminals facing trials in Nigeria”.
