The lawmaker representing Surulere 1 federal constituency and Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila is set to ensure the Construction of the First secondary school in Itire-Ikate LDA, Surulere 2, Lagos.
The Speaker’s intervention is coming following a torrent of requests to the National Assembly’s Speaker by the Council Chairman of Itire Ikate, APC-Party and Community Leaders in the area.
Since the creation of Itire Ikate LCDA, the area has not been privileged to have any secondary school, parents in Itire-Ikate do send their wards to public schools in neighbouring communities.
Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila accepted the challenge to extend his education intervention programmes to Surulere 2 Constituency.
The Council Chairman, Hon Ahmed Apatira in his passion to ensure that Itire-Ikate gets a befitting Secondary School has provided the required land for the Junior and Senior Secondary School project of Speaker Gbajabiamila. The land was handed over to the Speaker’s team today for commencement of work.
Upon completion, the Speaker will hand over the running of the new public secondary school to the Lagos State Government.
