Omo-Agege mourns Oshodi of Warri Kingdom, Chief Isaac Omirestuli Jemide

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has joined Deltans from all walks of life to mourn the demise of the Oshodi of Warri Kingdom, Chief Isaac Omirestuli Jemide.

Describing the deceased as a father figure to many, a consummate lawyer and leading light of Itsekiri Leaders of Thought (ILOT), the Delta Central lawmaker said Pa. Jemide led a life worthy of emulation.

According to him, he contributed immensely to the development of Delta State and championed many good causes with the power of his compelling knowledge of the law.

“As Delta State’s Commissioner on the board of the defunct Oil Mineral Producing Areas Development Commission (OMPADEC), Pa. Jemide insisted on the judicious and equitable use of oil resources for the development of all oil producing communities. He was respected by many as a voice of reason and respecter of the Catholic faith’s Rosary Club ‘Four Pillars of Truth’.

“May the God Almighty grant Pa. Jemide’s family the fortitude to bear his transition to the heavenly realm and may Papa’s soul rest In peace,” Omo-Agege stated.
