Counterfeit sneakers transferred from northern Cyprus to south Cyprus – British Bases

In the statement made by the British Bases, it was reported that some ‘opportunistic people’ were caught trying to transfer fake Nike, Adidas and Armani sneakers they bought from the north of Cyprus to the south.

In the statement, it was stated that SBA officers confiscated the shoes purchased from the ‘fake market’ during the past month.

According to the news in Cyprus Mail, Mark Hartley, head of the SBA Customs and Immigration Department in Dhekelia, said that “commercial amounts” of counterfeit shoes had been detected and seized at the crossing points before, and that the illegal trade in question has increased recently.
