Famagusta, Iskele, Yeniboğaziçi district case adjourned

It has been announced that the Famagusta, Iskele and Yeniboğaziçi Region Transition Process 2 Order has been postponed to 6 October.

Gizem Caner, President of the Chamber of City Planners, announced that the case to be heard, to decide whether the court order regarding the withdrawal and repeal of the Famagusta, Iskele and Yeniboğaziçi Region Transition Process 2 Order will be finalized or not, has been postponed to 6 October.

Upon the question of the Turkish Agency Cyprus (TAK) reporter, the President of the Chamber of City Planners Gizem Caner noted that the issue, which is expected to be decided today, will be discussed on October 6 at 09:00 because the defendant is not ready.

The Supreme Administrative Court issued an interim order regarding the repeal of the Famagusta, Iskele and Yeniboğaziçi Region Transition Process 2 Order by being published in the Official Gazette on September 20, and decided to suspend the execution of all transactions made outside the order.

The court also decided that the application should be notified to the defendant, that the request would be heard again and that it would be discussed on September 28, 2022 (today) at 09:00 to decide whether the given order would be finalized.
