Leeds’ trip to Manchester United and Chelsea’s home clash against Liverpool have both been postponed this weekend.
Both have been called off due to policing issues following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
Brighton had already postponed their contest with Crystal Palace due to a planned rail strike and despite that walkout being cancelled, the game remains off.
United were due to host Leeds at 2pm on Sunday ahead of Chelsea versus Liverpool at Stamford Bridge at 4.30pm.
United confirmed in a statement: “This is due to Greater Manchester Police supporting forces across the United Kingdom at locations and events of high significance following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.”
Brentford’s clash with Arsenal has been moved forward to Midday on Sunday to “ensure policing and safety resources are utilised in the best way” ahead of the Queen’s funeral on Monday, while Everton versus West Ham has been moved to 2.15pm for TV purposes.
A Premier League statement said: “Following extensive consultation with clubs, police, local Safety Advisory Groups and other relevant authorities, there was no other option but to postpone the three fixtures.
“The Premier League would like to thank the UK Football Policing Unit and other police forces across the country, as well as our broadcast partners, for their support during this process, and will continue to liaise with them ahead of the weekend.
“For the matches being played during the period of National Mourning, tributes will be paid to the Queen at Premier League stadiums.”
