Amnesty law is to reduce informality in the country – Minister of Interior

Interior Minister Ziya Öztürkler pointed out that the biggest reason for the amnesty law was to reduce informality in the country, and noted that many people in the country have been in a difficult situation for various reasons recently.

Minister of Interior Ziya Öztürkler made statements about the Amnesty Law at the General Assembly of the Parliament.

Pointing out that the tender for e-automation will be held on November 2, Öztürkler stated that efforts are being made to prevent unlawfulness.

Öztürkler noted that the main reason for this law was to register foreigners and to be a solution to the problems of people who are experiencing financial difficulties and the pandemic, and said that this would be the last of the amnesty law.

Expressing that they are not generous with regard to amnesty and that a step will be taken within the framework of the law, Öztürkler stated that no regulation has been made regarding citizenship.

After Öztürkler’s speech, the motion was accepted with a majority of votes.

The General Assembly then started to consider the resolution regarding the urgent consideration of the Special (Amendment) Bill on the Unification of Municipalities in the committee.

Minister of Interior Ziya Öztürkler also pointed out that a consensus was reached in the Parliament on holding the elections on 25 December 2022 and noted that the only change to be made here is to change the election date to 25 December.

The urgency was then passed by a majority of votes.

Afterwards, the General Assembly started to discuss the resolution regarding the immediate consideration of the Teachers (Amendment) Bill in the committee.
