Suspect arrested for forged Dutch visa documents

The suspect Muhammed Zeeshan Majjed, who was arrested on charges of “Forged Documentation”, “Putting into Circulation” and “Forgery Behavior”, will be detained for 3 days as part of the investigation.

The suspect Muhammed Zeeshan Majjed, who was arrested on charges of “Forgery Documentation”, “Circulation” and “Forgery Behavior Recording”, was brought before the court.

Police officer Vasvi Özbey, who gave sworn testimony to the court, stated that the suspect Muhammed Zeeshan Majjed, who was present, was involved in the crimes of “Forged Documentation”, “Circulation” and “Procurement of Records by False Behavior”.

The police stated that, the suspect Muhammed Zeeshan Majjed and two other people who are currently abroad used the name of the company they worked for to obtain a visa, using the document they forged, in the British Consulate building operating in Köşklüçiftlik Nicosia between August-September 2022 to go to the Netherlands.

He explained that they had obtained a false record by giving a false document to the Information Office of the German Federation Embassy and by obtaining a Dutch visa.

Özbey stated that a complaint was made to the police on October 13, 2022, and it was determined that two people had departed from the TRNC on October 1, 2022, and the suspect Muhammed Zeeshan Majjed was arrested on October 13, 2012, as per the court order, and the investigation is continuing.

The police stated that the suspect gave his statement voluntarily on the same date, that his voluntary statement should be confirmed and refuted, and a search warrant was obtained from the Nicosia District Court on the same date at the suspect’s residence address.

Özbey also stated that nothing illegal was detected during the search, and added that it is necessary to investigate whether there are camera images that will clarify the issue, statements that need to be obtained regarding the issue.

The police demanded that the suspect be kept in police custody for 3 days at the first stage so that the investigation could be conducted safely, since there were signs and wanted persons regarding the issue, and it was highly probable that the suspect might influence the investigation.

Evaluating the testimony given in his presence, Judge Nil Elodie Çeliker ordered the suspect to be detained in the police for 3 days for investigation purposes.
