According to the statement made by the Presidency, Tatar emphasized in his speech at the reception that the Turkish Cypriot people started to make their voices heard in different countries through the Yunus Emre Foundation.
President Tatar stated that the Turkish Cypriot people continue to progress in all areas despite the isolation and participate in the activities as much as possible.
Stating that the TRNC is a state and that the other side ignores it, Tatar also stated that he will not be tricked by the other side.
“We are strengthening our own structure with the support of the Republic of Turkey”
Tatar continued his words as follows:
“We are faced with a mentality that has made all kinds of attacks on the Turkish Cypriots. There is no effort by the other party to create a sustainable structure here. They want to make us a minority on this island. Enosis goals are still ongoing. We are strengthening our own structure with the support of the Republic of Turkey. The participation of Turkish Cypriot youth in different activities will provide them with morale and motivation.
We are proud of our youth. Despite all the difficulties, we have a people working and struggling to promote the TRNC, and success is demonstrated in every field. I think that a brighter period awaits us after the difficulties are overcome. Motherland Turkey supports the Turkish Cypriot people to come to a better point in the activities it organizes in different Turkish states. I have always defended our independence. The Republic of Turkey always supports us.”
