The suspect HT, who was arrested for the crime of “Sexual Rape of a Child Under 16” in Nicosia, was brought before the court.
Police sergeant SavaÅŸ Solak, who reported the incident in the court, conveyed the facts.
The police stated that the suspect was involved in the crimes of “Sexual Rape of a Child Under 16”, “Detaining a Child Under 16”, “Abduction from Legal Guardian” and “Sexual Abuse of a Child”.
Police underlined that on October 1, the suspect sexually raped a 16-year-old girl.
Police said the suspect took the girl home and kidnapped her from her legal guardian as well.
The police stated that the child came to the police with her family and complained about the suspect, and that the suspect, who was arrested, accepted the accusations.
The police demanded that the suspect’s statement be confirmed and refuted, that there were statements to be taken, and that the suspect be kept in detention for 3 days.
Evaluating the testimony given in his presence, Judge Nil Elodie Çeliker ordered the suspect to be detained for 3 days.
