The Commissioner of Police in Imo State, Rabiu Ladodo, has ordered 29 newly promoted officers to use their upgraded ranks to stamp out crime in the state.

Ladodo, who spoke while decorating the officers in Owerri, the capital, promised to reduce crime to the lowest level in Imo.

He charged the promoted officers to see their elevation as a call to greater service to the country.

Ladodo stressed that the Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission will demote any of them, who operates outside the provisions of the code of conduct for serving police personnel.

He said, “I charge you to put in more hard work, dedication and commitment to your duties as the reward for hard work is more work.”

One of the promoted officers, JohnPaul Echatah, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, assured Ladodo that the officers will live up to expectation.
