After days in hiding, Kim Kardashian emerged from her New York sanctuary with Kanye West and their children.
In the aftermath of being robbed at gunpoint in Paris, the 35-year-old mother of two stepped out in public Thursday casually dressed with her face hidden beneath a baseball cap, white hooded sweatshirt and sneakers. She carried her 3-year-old daughter, North, while husband Kanye West followed behind her holding their 10-month-old son, Saint.
Since the terrifying ordeal occurred early Monday morning during Paris Fashion Week, Kardashian has beefed up her security team, hiring an army of bodyguards to protect her and her family.
The reality star blames herself for the frightening incident in which she was bound and begging for her life in a bathtub at the swanky No Name Hotel while thieves made off with $10 million worth of jewelry, a source told People.
“This incident is making her question everything. How she dresses, what she does,” the source added.
Kardashian will reportedly refrain from flashing her wealth in public, and also plans to take a break from social media, TMZ reports.
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star was criticized earlier this week by fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld, who told reporters that she was an easy target because she repeatedly flaunts her fortune on social media.
On Sept. 29 she tweeted a photo of her now stolen $4.5 million engagement ring that garnered 43,000 likes. Kardashian, who has a whopping 49 million Twitter followers, has remained silent since the robbery occurred.
West has reportedly offered to buy Kardashian the same diamond ring.
