A 16-year-old girl was arrested on a charge of sexual assault of a child
after allegedly trying to rape a 10-year-old boy, according to police
in India.
Bidhnu police said that the boy was rushed to a hospital with severe
injuries to his private parts, after the girl tried to have sex with him
in his home.
According to the police investigation, the 16-year-old girl sweet-talked
the boy in his neighborhood until he allowed her to come into his home.
Once in the home, she tried to have sex with him, but he refused and
fought her off. The child suffered serious injuries to his private parts
and started bleeding as a result of the attack.
The boy was taken to the Hallet hospital, where he is in stable condition.
Police said that since the suspect and the victim are both minors, the
girl will be charged under section 8 of the Protection of Children from
Sexual Offences (POCS
