Video: Man breaks into restaurant and covers himself in sugar before leaving

 

A man was arrested on a charge of burglary after allegedly breaking into
a restaurant and pouring sugar on himself, according to police in
California. Sacramento police said that they have arrested 38-year-old Shannon
Berry, after being recorded on video staying behind in the Mother and
Empress restaurant and pouring sugar on himself.
Berry was charged with one count of burglary. According to the police
investigation, the incident unfolded on Saturday around 1:00 p.m., when
the restaurant was closed.

Berry gained access to the restaurant after an employee left a door
partially open. The surveillance video shows the man hiding behind a
counter until the employee left the restaurant.

He then grabbed a beer and some other items before sprinkling himself
with powdered sugar. Before leaving, Berry took a stapler and stapled
together several bags.
