Two men were arrested on a charge of animal cruelty after allegedly
shooting firecrackers at three dogs that were chained and could not
escape, according to police in South Carolina.

Rock Hill police said that they have arrested 21-year-old Deangelo
Roseboro and 25-year-old Tevin Anderson, after witnesses called police
to say that they were shooting firecrackers at dogs.

They were both charged with animal cruelty and booked into jail.

According to the police investigation, the two suspects were seen
torturing three dogs in the backyard of a house on State Street.

The dogs were chained, and one of the suspects recorded the abuse.
Anderson was throwing lit firecrackers at each dog. The dogs were seen
cowering and trying to escape the explosives in the eight-minute video.

At one point, one of the dogs entered their house, but Anderson threw
firecrackers into it. The York County Animal Control seized the dogs,
and noted that the three animals appeared to have injuries.

The explosives were putting the dogs in imminent danger of injuries and
severe burns. The explosives were also mentally tormenting dogs.

The dogs are expected to be sent to a veterinarian for evaluation.
Anderson told police that he was watching the dogs for a person who is
in jail.
