A teen was arrested on a charge of attempted murder after allegedly
shooting his father and a police officer during a fight over hummus,
according to police in Ohio.

Warren County police said that they have arrested 19-year-old Mohammed
Laghaoui, after being accused of shooting his father in the hand during
an argument about hummus.

Laghaoui was charged with attempted aggravated murder and attempted
murder. He was booked into jail, and his bail was set at $2 million.

If convicted, Laghaoui faces up to 68 years in prison. According to the
police investigation, on Thursday, Laghaoui ate too much hummus that
belonged to his father.

His brother called 911, and during the call, Laghaoui can be heard
making threats. Police officer Katie Barnes responded to the apartment
and left when the father and brother refused to file charges.

An hour later, Barnes was called back to the scene after the brother told police that Laghaoui punched his father in the face.

That is when Barnes was shot in the abdomen by what appeared to be an AK-47. Barnes is expected to make a full recovery.

Laghaoui shot his father in the hand while trying to keep his son out of
his apartment. He lost some fingers as a result of the shooting.

Laghaoui also shot at a neighbor, and the bullet entered the bedroom of a child in a neighboring apartment.
