Two excellent goals from Emenike enough for Fenerbahçe to beat Monaco in Champions League qualifier

Fenerbahçe beat AS Monaco 2-1 on July 27 in the first leg of the third qualifying round in the UEFA Champions League.

Playing at home at the Ülker Stadium in Istanbul, Fenerbahçe was helped by two excellent goals by Emmanuel Emenike in the 39th and 61st minutes.      

Monaco’s goal came by way of Radamel Falcao, two minutes after Fenerbahçe’s goal in the first half.

The second leg of the match will be played Aug. 3 in Monaco.
