The friends of a well loved Google employee in New York, were shocked to learn that she was raped and burned in broad daylight.
Police in Princeton, Massachusetts, said that 27-year-old Vanessa Marcotte, was found dead after going out jogging around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Marcotte was visiting her mother over the weekend. Marcotte was reported missing after not returning to her mother’s home around 2:00 p.m.
A State Police K-9 unit found her body in the woods around 8:30 p.m. Some of her clothes were missing, and she had burns on her head, feet and hands.
So far, no arrests have been made. Her coworkers at Google in New York City, said that Marcotte always had a smile and was well loved by everyone who knew her.
