Police launched an investigation after a man was found dead in a motel room in an apparent suicide, according to police in Ohio.
Wellsville police said that they called to the Emerald Motel, which is located at 1901 Clark Avenue, after employees found the man lying in bed unresponsive and a naked woman covered in feces.
The 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene while the woman was taken to the East Liverpool City Hospital, where she is being treated.
According to the police investigation, the man and his girlfriend decided to kill themselves by overdosing on drugs. The woman shouted at police for not being allowed to die.
Employees of the motel told police that the couple had been using drugs for several days. When they knocked on the door to check on their welfare, the woman opened and said that everything was fine.
On Monday, when employees knocked on the door, nobody opened. Police forced open the door and found the man lying in bed unresponsive while the woman was naked and covered in feces.
