Governor of Katsina State disowns Masari Zalla

Katsina state Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, on Monday distanced himself from the activities of a group known as Masari Zalla.

The governor in a statement signed by his Senior Special Adviser on Media, Abdu Labaran Malumfashi, described as unfortunate the group’s claim that he was its sponsor.

The statement reads:”The attention of Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has been drawn to the existence and activities of a group known as Masari Zalla, which claims to be associated with him and his aspirations.

“For avoidance of doubt, Governor Masari does not know this group nor has any connection with it whatsoever.

“To be sure, Governor Masari is fully in support of, and will always identify with any individual or group whose aspirations and goal is to expand the frontiers of development in Katsina State in particular and Nigeria in general.

“It is to be noted therefore, that anybody who does business with Masari Zalla does so at their own peril.”
