Governor Ortom appoints new BIRS chairman

Governor Samuel Ortom has approved the appointment of Terzungwe Atser, as the new chairman of Board of Internal Revenue Service ( BIRS) .


The former chairman of BIRS Mrs. Mimi Adzape was unceremoniously removed from office last week by the governor.

Before his new appointed as chairman BIRS Mr. Terzungwe Atser was an Assistant – Director with Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in Abuja.

Mr. Atser is expected to resume duty at BIRS office along Makurdi – Gboko road .

The Nation gathered that he had the mandate of the governor to reposition the Revenue and Taxation office to meet the yearning and expectations of Government in terms of revenue generation.
