Buhari’s ADC In-law rescued from abductors in Daura

The Magajin Gari Daura and In-law to President Muhammadu Buhari’s ADC, kidnapped exactly two months and a day ago, Alhaji Musa Umar Uba was Tuesday at about 7.25 am freed from his abductors, but it wasn’t mentioned whether any ransom was paid for his release.

A Press statement which was signed by the Spokesman of Katsina State Police Command, Superintendent Gumbo Isah while congratulating the people of Daura and Katsina, said details about his release will be made public shortly

He said’’ Magajin Garin Daura has been rescued. Congratulations to the entire people of Daura and Katsina state in general. Details follow’’

Meanwhile, the younger brother to the Magajin, Malam Tukur Umar, told newsmen in Daura on Tuesday that the Magajingari Daura was rescued at about 7:25 am.

He said ‘’the district head was rescued by a combined team of security operatives after a serious gun battle with his captors who were holed up in a secluded house along Madobi road in Samagu quarters close to Sani Abacha Youth Center, Kano’’.

Magajingari was kidnapped from his residence on May 1 at about 7pm shortly after mosque and taken to an unknown destination. The kidnappers neither demanded a ransom nor made contact with his family throughout the period of his incarceration
