CSOs Key for Grassroots Mobilsation- Magu

The acting Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu has reiterated the pivotal role of Civil Society Organisations as vehicle for grassroots Mobilisation in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

Magu who spoke through the Zonal Head of the EFCC in Kaduna, Mailafia Yakubu when some officials of civil society organizations paid him a courtesy visit on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 said collaborating with CSOs was key in the public enlightenment strategy of the Commission as the organizations were strategic for public engagement and feedback.

In his remarks, the President of Civil Society Organisations in Kaduna, Emmanuel Bonnet said the CSOs usually see themselves as partner with the EFCC in the onerous assignment of erasing the ills of corruption from our society.

He expressed the determination of the groups to do more in propagating the campaign against corruption, while also thanking the EFCC for carrying the CSOs along in all its engagements.
