Imo government sets up panel of inquiry to investigate alleged police brutality

Imo State government has set up a panel of inquiry to investigate alleged police brutality in the country, as it affects the state. The panel is to identify all those who have made claims of police brutality, investigate them and make appropriate recommendations, including possible compensations and sanctions

The panel is also to examine existing police structures in the country, including the renumeration regime and make recommendations for comprehensive reforms in the police to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.

Members of the panel are:

4 President National Youth Council of Nigeria, Imo State 

5 Chief Titus Uzor

6 Chibuike Ogboma 

7 Belusochukwu Nwere 

8 The Chairman Christian Council of Nigeria, Imo State 

10 Victor Nwachukwu 

11 The President National Council of Women Society, Imo State. 

12 Rep of Youths in the 3 geo political zone in the state.
