INEC Commends Partnership with EFCC

The New Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Kaduna State, Dr. Asmau Sani Maikudi on Thursday 21st, October 2021 pledged greater commitment to improving the synergy between the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Dr Asmau, who was speaking during a courtesy visit to the Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC expressed delight and profound appreciation to the EFCC for the role it has been playing in the prevention of financial malpractices during elections and asked for more engagement in future elections.
She commended the Zonal Commander or participating in the quarterly Inter-Agency Consultation Committee on Election Security meetings.
The Kaduna Zonal Commander, Mr. Harry Erin, thanked REC for the visit and also commended INEC for introducing the new online continuous voter registration (CVR) and enabling electorates to change their polling units to accommodate voters who have relocated.
He further advised the Resident Electoral Commissioner to invest in grassroots voter education to reduce voter apathy and violence at elections.
