The Ministry of Finance warned citizens not to respect the notifications received via fake e-mails on behalf of the Directorate of Revenue and Tax Office.

In the statement made by the Ministry of Finance; “As a result of the investigation, it was determined that a hacker group abroad sent an e-mail regarding the payment order to some TRNC Income and Tax Office taxpayers via fake addresses!

Such e-mails sent are not sent by the TRNC Revenue and Tax Office. It is important to announce to all the public and our people that the link in the sent e-mail content should not be clicked.

If such messages are deceived, in case of action, the personal information of the citizens will be in the hands of fraudsters who do not have good intentions, and material and moral grievances may be experienced, so the public.

It was noted that such fraud attempts should not be respected in order to prevent fraud and fraud and to prevent grievances.
