İzzet İzcan: Prosecute Perpetrators Of KIBTEK Problem

General Chairman of the United Cyprus Party İzzet İzcan stated that it is not possible for KIB-TEK to live in this way and said, “KIB-TEK has turned into an institution that punishes the people.”

“The fact that KIB-TEK General Manager Gürcan Erdoğan was imprisoned for 18 months due to his corruption has revealed the abuses and irregularities in the institution,” said İzzet İzcan, emphasizing that the Electricity Authority cannot continue in this way.

Those who made the Electricity Authority this way should be prosecuted.

There was a shortage of spare parts in the institution, that the electricity energy that would cost 2 million dollars if it was produced by itself was purchased from Southern Cyprus for 6 million dollars, that 33 million TL of fuel expenses were paid to the power plants donated from Turkey, instead of 12 million TL, under the name of fuel purchase by hand.

Pointing out that he was paid 150 dollars for the fuel transportation fee, which is a tonne of fuel, and that it reflects the exorbitant interest he paid to the banks because he was stuck in debt, BKP Chairman İzzet İzcan stated that such an institution is of no benefit to the society and demanded the prosecution of those who put the institution in such a state.

Izzet Izcan, who stated that theft was done in plain sight, demanded that the Electricity Board be made autonomous and taken under control instead of being the beneficiary of political powers.
