Ministry of national education, CIU signs cooperation protocol

A cooperation protocol was signed between the Ministry of National Education and Cyprus International University (CIU) to provide physiotherapy and rehabilitation services for students studying in special education schools affiliated to the Ministry.

According to the information given by the Ministry of Education, the protocol was signed by the Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu and CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri signed.

Within the scope of the signed protocol, physiotherapy and rehabilitation services will be provided by the University’s Faculty of Health Sciences Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department to physically and mentally handicapped children studying at Nicosia Special Education Schools and, if necessary, other special education schools affiliated to the Ministry, by establishing cooperation between the Ministry and the university.

CAVUSOGLU

Speaking before the signing ceremony, Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu pointed out that as the Ministry, they want to provide all necessary support to individuals and students with special needs, and stated that they signed this protocol with Cyprus International University in order to increase the quality of physiotherapy and rehabilitation services offered to students.

Noting that physiotherapy and rehabilitation services play an important role in helping individuals with special needs to cling to life, developing basic self-care, independent living skills and academic skill. Çavuşoğlu noted that CIU has undertaken a very important mission in this sense, and is happy to sign such a beneficial cooperation.

He expressed his happiness because of it, underlining the importance of such collaborations that will contribute to the development of students and education.

Çavuşoğlu expressed that they are ready to cooperate with all stakeholders in this context, wished the protocol to be beneficial, and thanked everyone who contributed.
