Police headquarters warns of phone scam

The Police Headquarters has warned the public again on the increase in phone fraud cases.

Police, who wanted to be careful against phone scammers, emphasized that people who call from their home or mobile phones and introduce themselves as police, and who ask for information by saying that their names and bank accounts are involved in the terrorist organization, should not be respected.

The warning, which asked those who encounter such situations to immediately go to the nearest police station and report the matter, said, “Remember, no police will ask you for your bank account information over the phone.”
