Students accommodation fees should be reasonable, says Ministry of National Education

According to the written statement made by the Ministry, the meeting took place at the Ministry of National Education.

In his statement on the subject, Çavuşoğlu said that they aim to provide an environment where students can receive quality education and lead a peaceful and safe education life by acting jointly with all stakeholders in higher education.

Underlining the importance of the service quality that the dormitories provide to the students, Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that they held this meeting before the new academic year to see the stage of the studies in this area.

Çavuşoğlu stated that within the framework of the Student Friendly Island project they implemented, the opportunities for university students studying in the country were highly appreciated by the students and invited the dormitory owners and homeowners to support this project.

Stating that the registration period for universities will start soon and emphasizing the need to support students who prefer the country, Çavuşoğlu said, “Within the framework of the Student Friendly Island project, a more reasonable level should be set in dormitory fees and house rents for students.

In this context, in my meeting with our dormitory representatives, I conveyed my views to our representatives that dormitory fees should be determined with this awareness. From here, I also call homeowners. Let’s determine the house rents with this sense of responsibility.”
