Suspects arrested for illegal botox, lip filling procedures appears in court

The suspects, who were found to have performed botox and lip augmentation procedures without the authorization of the authorities in a beauty center in Kyrenia, will be detained for 3 days as part of the investigation.

The suspects, Ceylan Erdoğan(F-23), Hivay Gülişan Öztürk (F-24), Şebnem Ağırgün (F-37), and business owner Barış Oral (M-46), were found to have performed botox and lip filling procedures without permission from the authorities at the beauty center named Ago, operating in Girne, were arrested and brought before the court.

The police testified in the court regarding the issue and conveyed the findings about the incident.

On Saturday, August 27, at 18.30, the police arrived in Kyrenia. The suspects Ceylan Erdoğan, Hivay Gülişan Öztürk and Şebnem Ağırgün have acted against the Law of the Medical Association by performing botox and lip augmentation procedures without permission from the authorities in the Beauty Center named Ago, operating at the address of Orhan Durusoy Sokak and managed by Barış Oral.

Barış Oral, Ceylan Erdoğan and Hivay Gülişan Öztürk were arrested due to the red-handed state and Şebnem Ağırgün was arrested as per the pending order.

Also, many brands and amounts of botox and fillers in the possession of the suspects and which they brought to the TRNC from abroad without declaring them to the customs, materials, injectors and needle tips, as well as 48,210 TL, 1,800 Euro, 450 Stg and 500 American dollars cash were detected and confiscated as evidence.

The police said that after the suspects were arrested, they voluntarily testified and declared that they had taken action against about 50 people.

The police stated that the suspects Ceylan Erdoğan, Hivay Gülişan Öztürk and Şebnem Ağırgün were detected when they entered the country on Friday, August 26, and demanded that the suspects for investigation purposes be kept in police custody for 3 days.

Evaluating the testimony given in his presence, Judge Zehra Y. Bilgeç ordered the suspects to be kept in police custody for 3 days for the purpose of investigation.
