Council Of Ministers Approves Postage Rates Increment

The Council of Ministers approved the statute regulating postage rates. With the regulation published in yesterday’s issue of the Official Gazette, the new fees entered into force.

According to the new prices, stamp fees for domestic letters up to 20 grams were 1.75 TL, 2.60 TL for Turkey and 5.50 TL for other countries. Gradually increasing fees according to weight were determined as 12.80 TL in domestic, 18.10 TL in Turkey and 72 TL in other countries for shipments up to 2 thousand grams.

Stamp fees for small packages up to 250 grams in the mail are 6.20 TL for domestic and Turkey, 11.25 TL for other countries; For packages up to 2 thousand grams, 11.70 TL must be paid for domestic and Turkey, and 56 TL for other countries.

Postage fees for parcels are 9 TL for domestic up to 1 kilogram. 1.10 TL will be added to these fees for each subsequent kilogram. 18 TL will be applied to send 1 kilogram parcels to Turkey, and to other countries, the shipping fee to Turkey and the PTT’s tariff will be applied.

Urgent mail shipments up to 50 grams are 13.50 TL in the country, 15.50 TL up to a thousand grams; For urgent mail shipments to Turkey, a fee of 35 TL will be paid for the first 500 grams, and 5.50 TL for each subsequent 500 grams.

The Council of Ministers approved the “1991 Postage (General Postage Charges) (Amendment) Regulation” and decided to publish it in the Official Gazette. As the regulation was published in the Official Gazette yesterday, the new postage rates came into effect.

According to this; Fees such as letters, postcards, printed papers, greetings, small packages, parcels, postal orders, insured, payment terms and air shipments, and fees for special services were regulated.
