Minister of Health Monitoring Gürçağ Altuğra, made inspections at the Emergency Hospital and the Call Center serving in its new location, and said that the call center will provide appointment services for Nicosia and Famagusta.

Minister of Health Monitoring Gürçağ Altuğra visited the Emergency Hospital and made on-site investigations.

Receiving information about the service scheme and the units moved, Altuğra made a statement to the members of the press, stating that the call center will provide appointment services for both Nicosia and Famagusta from now on, and noted that Girne Akçiçek Hospital will be included in this system as soon as possible.

Noting that they are working to move all pediatric units to the Emergency Hospital in order to provide the best service to children, Altuğra emphasized that the works have been completed and that all pediatric services, including “Child Emergency”, will be provided at the Emergency Hospital as soon as possible.

Explaining the advantages of having a separate emergency service for children, Altuğra said that it is also important for families that children receive service in a modern and private environment.

Pointing out that intervening with children and adults in different places will also provide a psychological advantage, Altuğra said, “Children will not encounter injured and traumatized adults and will not wait in line with adults who are in bad condition or infection.”

Stating that with the changes in the Emergency Hospital, the newborn service will provide more comprehensive services and that private referrals will be prevented, Altuğra pointed out the importance of providing emergency, newborn, surgical and intensive care services for children in the same place.
