The investigation of the ‘unauthorized’ taking of the baby from the hospital staff by a different person after the birth at Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital Nicosia continues.
While it was revealed that the baby was taken by the friend of the person who gave birth, it was noted that the hospital personnel working at the time of the baby’s discharge from the hospital will also be questioned.
The repercussions of giving the newborn baby to a different person by the mother ‘without permission’ from the relevant personnel at Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital continue.
After the police determined the baby’s location, the Social Services Department took care of the baby.
According to Cyprus Post, officials of the issue noted that the investigation into the incident in question continues. He underlined that the personnel on duty at the time of the baby’s removal from the hospital will also be questioned.
It was stated that the management of Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital also started its own internal investigation and would identify the personnel who were negligent.
