Four suspects busted in Hamitköy during drug operation

In Hamitköy, the suspects ÖE, CG, UK and KMB, who came to buy drugs from their hiding places, were arrested and brought before the court.

Police officer Cemal Ramiz, who reported the incident in the court, stated that on October 3, at 20.15, a police team from the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate found some cocaine and a quantity of cannabis type drugs hidden under trees in Hamitköy, and started the ambush mission.

The police said that 4 suspects, aged between 18 and 20, who came to pick up a substance believed to be a cocaine type drug weighing approximately 8 grams, a substance believed to be a cannabis type drug weighing approximately 25 grams, and 2 sensitive scales believed to have drug residues on them, were identified.

The police stated that, as a result of the search carried out in the vehicle where the suspects came, 2 pieces of the substance believed to be a cannabis type drug mixed with tobacco were found and 1.5 grams of the substance believed to be a cannabis type narcotic wrapped in foil paper was found and taken as an indication. 

The police said that it was determined that the suspect Ö.E. had bought 12 grams of cocaine and 25 grams of cannabis for 1,160 Euros through a person sought on September 28, 2022. 

The police stated that the suspect weighed and packaged 4 grams of the subject matter on precision scales for 6 thousand 700 TL.

The police demanded 3 days, saying that all 4 suspects had given their statements, the investigation had just begun, and the statements should be confirmed and refuted.

The lawyers for the suspects did not object.

Evaluating the testimony given in his presence, Judge Nil Elodie Çeliker ordered the suspects to be detained for 3 days.
