26 suspects of crime organization arrested in Adana provinces, TRNC

26 out of 41 suspects detained in the operation against a profit-oriented crime organization in 4 provinces based in Adana and in the TRNC were arrested.

26 suspects including Cumali İncesoy and his son Yaşar İncesoy, the leader of the ‘Deveciler’ crime organization, which was destroyed by an operation in Adana-based 4 provinces and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), were arrested, and 11 people were released on condition of judicial control.

Adana Provincial Police Department Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams held a criminal investigation against an armed criminal organization with interests in the murder of 5 people, “deliberate injury”, “qualified looting” and “deprivation of liberty”, on 23 December in Adana, Istanbul. The number of detentions rose to 41 with the capture of another suspect wanted within the scope of the operation carried out in Nevşehir, Gaziantep and the TRNC.

4 of the suspects were released by the order of the prosecutor’s office after their procedures at the police station, 37 of them were referred to the courthouse.

Among the suspects brought to the courthouse, C.İ. and 26 of them, including his son Y.İ., were arrested, 11 were released on condition of judicial control.

The police continue to work to catch the 5 suspects, who were detained within the framework of the investigation, but could not be found at their addresses.

Adana Police Department Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams started a technical and physical follow-up against an armed criminal organization that was involved in many crimes such as “deliberate injury”, “qualified looting” and “deprivation of liberty” with the killing of 5 people.

In order to catch 46 suspects whose identities were determined, an operation was carried out on 58 addresses determined in Adana, Istanbul, Nevşehir and Gaziantep and the TRNC with the support of the special operations police on 23 December, and C.İ. 40 suspects, including his son Y.İ., were taken into custody.

In their homes and workplaces, 2 Kalashnikov rifles, 3 machine guns and 7 hunting rifles, 36 bullets belonging to these weapons, signal cutting device and some drugs were seized.
